PROVIDENCE – Citizens Bank is now accepting applications from nonprofits that are seeking money for financial literacy services.
Until Jan. 20, Citizens Bank – based in Providence – will accept applications from its 11-state footprint. The funding will come from the bank’s Helping Citizens Manage Money financial literacy initiative.
In 2016, Citizens awarded 77 nonprofits about $1.35 million in contributions.
Eligible activities should include:
- Basics of banking and asset building
- Budgeting
- Homeowner counseling
- Credit management and repair programs
- Financial management for small businesses
Nonprofits interested in applying should visit the bank’s website. Winners will be announced in March.
