Citizens launches Droid app

PROVIDENCE – RBS Citizens Financial Group Inc. unveiled the mobile banking platforms for it Citizens Bank customers with Android smartphones.

Previously, only customers with iPhones could participate in online banking.

The expanded features include person-to-person payments on the web via a secure network, Make external account-to-account transactions, make payments, check balances, view account history and find a bank branch or ATM while on the go.

The app also lets customers save multiple user IDs and view check images.

“Our customers have embraced the ease and convenience of online and mobile banking, and these enhancements are a direct result of our commitment to invest in the services that customers tell us are important to them,” said Brad Conner, vice chairman of consumer banking, RBS Citizens Financial Group.

“People are busier than ever, and we are committed to putting our customers in control and showing them how to take care of their banking needs anytime and anywhere,” said Conner.
