Cloud Silver Lining awards 2nd annual IT Innovation Award

PROVIDENCE – Cloud-based IT services company Cloud Silver Lining has awarded its second annual IT Innovation Award to Kevin Nikkhoo, CEO of Los Angeles-based security-as-a-service company CloudAccess.

The award, which honors individuals for lifetime achievement in information technology, was established in 2011. It recognizes individuals who have made significant innovative contributions to IT, either through individual accomplishments of by guiding a group.

According to Cloud Silver Lining, these contributions “reflect leadership and mentorship, and have influenced the industry by demonstrating a commitment to diversity and service to profession, industry and community.”

As part of the honor, Nikkhoo was awarded $5,000 donation to UNICEF in his name. His recognition was based on a “series of cenceputal and technological advances in IT ranging from his early success as a leading developer at Xerox to his current pioneering venture in the emerging cloud computing field of virtualized and integrated enterprise-class security solutions, tagged ‘security-as-a-service,’ ” said the company.
