BOSTON – The association representing attorneys general from across the nation this month awarded Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley the group’s highest honor.
Coakley was awarded the National Association of Attorneys General Kelley-Wyman Award, given annually to the attorney general who has done the most to achieve the group’s objectives.
Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen presented the award to Coakley, praising her work in the national mortgage foreclosure settlement, the battle against human trafficking, protecting consumer privacy and assisting veterans.
Coakley has served on the association’s executive committee for six years, either as a regional chairwoman or as a presidential appointment. •
