PAWTUCKET – Collette Cares, the philanthropic arm of Pawtucket-based travel tourism company Collette, has launched its first Rhode Island signature program by awarding Children’s Friend its signature literacy grant, which focuses on youth literacy in the Ocean State.

“There will be many volunteer opportunities throughout the year for employees to roll their sleeves up and be Learning Explorers leaders,” said Lynne Kelly, Collette’s community relations manager of the program, which annually awards grants to youth education programs.

With this two-year collaboration, Collette’s Learning Explorers hope to improve the overall youth literacy rate in the state of Rhode Island by fostering and motivating children at a young age.
