PRODUCING RESULTS: One way in which Kforce makes good on its promise to deliver “great people” to clients is by listening to employees via an online survey tool.

Professional-staffing firm Kforce Inc. provides employees for technology, finance, government and other sectors. With offices in Providence, its motto is “Great People = Great Results.” And it has measures in place to ensure its own staff gets the benefits and perks they need to be great.

With more than 60 U.S. offices, the company is a full-service agency providing everything from consultants to flex-job solutions.

One of the ways Kforce, which was founded in 1962, ensures its own employees have a say in the company is with an anonymous suggestion box. Kforce’s Carmine LaRocca said in the Best Places To Work survey that the firm uses surveys itself, online, to keep its finger on the pulse of employee feedback. “We have set up an anonymous ‘suggestion box’ through Survey Monkey. Constructive suggestions or feedback can be offered to the leadership team anonymously,” he wrote.

At Kforce there is also a weekly contest for employees, in which they can earn time off. An annual incentive trip is also up for grabs. “[It’s] based on production, performance, nomination by peers and other criteria,” wrote LaRocca. Trip winners are then lauded in communications and booklets that are distributed throughout the company.

One way Kforce makes the workplace a better place for employees to maintain a better work-life balance is by offering programs with marital, financial, parental and other kinds of counseling.

Environmental awareness is another aspect of Kforce. The company discourages printing reports and doesn’t provide items like plastic cups. “[We] encourage reusable items like mugs and silverware,” LaRocca wrote. •
