Cox delivers nearly 200 gifts to seniors

NEWPORT – Cox Communications delivered nearly 200 gifts and desserts recently to seniors at the Park Holm Senior Center with help from Senate President Teresa Paiva-Weed.
This year, Cox’s Northeast region employees provided seniors with the individually wrapped Christmas gifts in a holiday campaign they dubbed “Santas for Seniors.” Cox’s Diversity Council members coordinated this event and are overseeing the gift distribution.
“A simple gift means so much, especially to those who might not be able to afford more than the basics or whose family is far away,” said Pipier Bewlay, interim regional manager, senior vice president and vice president of human resources at Cox.
Similar events took place throughout December in Lincoln; Stafford, Conn., and Cleveland, Ohio.
