Cox launches cloud services suite for small businesses

WEST WARWICK – Cox Business on March 6 announced the launch of Essential Cloud, a suite of cloud-based business applications to help small businesses increase operational efficiency and improve customer relationships.
Through Essential Cloud, small-business owners can purchase and manage …, similar to how consumers purchase music through … like iTunes or Google Play services, Cox said. Essential Cloud recommends three “basic essentials” for all business owners, and then tailors additional solutions according to four primary vertical markets: real estate, restaurant, professional services and personal services.
For example, a business owner in the professional services industry who uses Essential Cloud would be directed to a menu of options including business applications such as email marketing, online appointment booking, proposal creation and secure file sharing.
“Businesses are continuing to embrace the cloud to improve performance, while allowing them to remain customer-focused and revenue driven,” said Mark Scott, vice president of Cox Business. “With this as a backdrop, we developed Essential Cloud to include the very best applications to enable customers to run their small and medium businesses as efficiently as a large enterprise.”
One of the anchor business solutions offered through Essential Cloud is PayLeap, a payments and merchant services platform that integrates in-store, online and mobile payment processing and was developed by Atlanta-based Acculynk, a Cox Business partner.
Customers who purchase Essential Cloud apps can access the programs from any device, anywhere, at any time, with continual backup. Essential Cloud also offers personalized service and live consultation via a concierge team to aid users in selecting the best apps for their unique business needs.
