Cybersecurity exercise planned at Salve Regina

NEWPORT – Corporate executives and general counsels in the region are invited to attend a cybersecurity tabletop exercise intended as professional development at the Pell Center at Salve Regina University.
“Surviving a Cyber Attack: Preparedness and Resiliency in Action” will be led by a panel of experts and practitioners on Dec. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is geared toward corporate legal teams.

Those who attend will be led through a simulated cyber attack featuring several scenarios. General counsels and lawyers will receive tips on how to advise clients who experience similar types of incidents.
The cost of the event is $200, including breakfast and lunch). Those who register before Nov. 27 will be charged $150. Information and registration about the event can be found HERE.

Peter Neronha, U.S. Attorney for Rhode Island, will be the keynote speaker.
Speakers also will include Ellen Giblin, privacy officer, Boston Children’s Hospital; Kevin Swindon, supervisory special agent, FBI Boston division; Don Ulsch, senior managing director, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP; Ken Mortensen, senior managing director, cybersecurity and privacy, PricewaterhouseCoopers; and Stephen Ucci, counsel, Locke Lord LLP, and a state representative.
