This weekend, see a newly staged version of “The Phantom of the Opera.” The classic story by French writer Gaston Leroux was first published in 1909 and tells the tale of musical ingénue, Christine and her tormented admirer who stalks the cellars of the opera house where she sings. Backed by brilliant new design from Paul Brown, costumes by Maria Björnson, new staging by Laurence Connor and new choreography by Scott Ambler, the production features one of the largest productions in North America, with a cast and orchestra of 52.
