Di Iorio named<br> to RBS board

PROVIDENCE – RBS Citizens Financial Group appointed Tony Di Iorio, former CFO of Deutsche Bank, to its board of directors, the bank announced Jan. 15. Di Iorio has been on the board of the parent company, the Royal Bank of Scotland, since 2011.
“Through the course of his career in financial services, Tony has demonstrated a strong commitment to customers and shareholders and has contributed to the success of some of the most respected firms in the industry,” said RBS Citizens Chairman and CEO Bruce Van Saun. “Tony’s insights into the market dynamics affecting banks and their customers will be valuable to us as we continue making progress toward our goal of being a top-performing regional bank.”
Di Iorio’s financial career includes work with KPMG, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America and as CEO of PaineWebber International. He has also served as senior advisor to Ernst & Young, working with the firm’s financial services partners in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Providence-based RBS Citizens has announced a planned 25 percent IPO for fourth quarter 2014 and plans to be fully public by the end of 2016.
