Dice: Boston’s tech-job growth No. 4

NEW YORK –’s December report puts Boston’s percentage growth for available tech jobs at No. 4 out of 10 Top Tech Metro Areas.

The largest year-over-year increases – all 26 percent – were seen in Silicon Valley, Atlanta and Philadephia.

Boston grew 25 percent, adding 3,009 jobs according to the number of open positions on as of Jan. 3, 2012, compared to a year earlier. There were 75,404 available tech jobs in total on the website.

The only decrease in open positions was in Washington D.C./Baltimore, which saw a 17 percent drop when compared to a year earlier.
