Thursday, newportFILM will present two screenings of “Love, Marilyn,” a film that draws on the never-before-seen personal papers, diaries and letters of Marilyn Monroe. Directed by Academy-award nominated Liz Garbus, the film aims to evoke the multiple aspects of the real Marilyn. Adam Braver, author of the novel, “Misfit,” which is based on the last days of Marilyn Monroe’s life, will introduce each film. Movie-goers can also grab a bite to eat at Christie’s restaurant and receive a complimentary bottle of wine with the purchase of two entrees.
