As if the threat posed by the earthquake and resulting tsunami were not enough, the people of Japan have had to deal with an increasingly dangerous situation involving a nuclear reactor located on the coast.
While nuclear power promises non-carbon emitting energy, the issues of waste storage and removal, as well as the risk of disasters creating radioactive leaks, are real.
Is this method of generating electricity worth it?
