Douglas joins Carousel to drive telehealth offerings

EXETER – Carousel Industries, a technology solutions management and integration firm, has appointed Brian Douglas as its public-sector business development director.
In his new role, Douglas will manage Carousel’s customer solutions for educational and medical institutions and state and local governments, and will spearhead the development of Carousel’s telehealth offerings as Carousel continues to expand its presence in the health care market.
“We are pleased to have Brian as part of the Carousel team,” said James R. Marsh III, senior vice president of sales for Carousel, in an Oct. 7 release. “Our customers in the public sector are looking for intelligent and collaborative ways to solve their business problems, while uncovering new growth opportunities – particularly in health care. Through Brian’s leadership, we will develop world-class offerings targeted at the public sector that leverage each of our technical disciplines, particularly video conferencing and unified communications.”
Before joining Carousel, Douglas served as national business development director for Polycom, where he focused on the government, education and health care markets. Apart from his strong business development record, Douglas also brings a wealth of clinical sales knowledge to Carousel, including nearly a decade of clinical sales expertise involving surgical and medical devices from manufacturers including Stryker, Kyphon and Medtronic.
Prior to his role at Polycom, Douglas served as the program-design group manager for AMD Global Telemedicine, he managing the sales, training and implementation of telemedicine systems across North America.
“Carousel has a clear advantage in its ability to provide solutions for the public sector, considering its vast expertise in networking, data, security and other critical areas,” said Douglas. “These technical disciplines represent the foundation of our offering, and I look forward to working with each of our product managers to create extremely targeted solution bundles for our customers.”
Carousel Industries, headquartered in Exeter, serves more than 6,000 customers, and employs more than 1,000 people at its 30 locations around the country.
