Dr. Heather Lopes has been named president of the Rhode Island Veterinary Medical Association. She has served on the RIVMA board of directors since 2011 and is currently a veterinarian at Washington County/South County Veterinary Hospital. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Maryland and graduate degree in veterinary medicine from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.
