Pepi named Southcoast Health’s chief of obstetrics, gynecology

NEW BEDFORD – Southcoast Health has named Dr. Michael Pepi its chief of obstetrics and gynecology. He fills a position that has been vacant since October 2015. Dr. Patrick Nugent previously held that position.

Most recently chief of obstetrics and gynecology at Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket, a Care New England hospital, he is also a clinical assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at The Warren Alpert School of Medicine of Brown University. Pepi, who holds memberships in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Rhode Island Medical Society, has been published in the Journal of Gynecologic Surgery.

He earned his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, and completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford, Conn.
