FALL RIVER – Southcoast Health announced that Dr. Sophia Rizk, a medical oncologist, has joined Southcoast Physicians Group. She will see patients at 506 Prospect St. in Fall River, and 206 Mill Road in Fairhaven, Mass.
Rizk graduated from Tufts University and received her medical degree from New York Medical College. She completed her internship, residency and chief residency in internal medicine, followed by her fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at The Warren Alpert School of Medicine of Brown University. She is board-certified in internal medicine.
She is a member of the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American College of Physicians, and the Massachusetts and Rhode Island medical societies.
Proficient in Spanish and Greek, Rizk shares her skills through volunteering, participating in many teaching opportunities at Brown University and contributing to many medical research studies and presentations.
