PROVIDENCE – Citizens Bank last week named Frank P. Drago its new president of Citizens Securities Inc. and head of investment services.
An industry veteran with more than 30 years in the business, Drago previously served as director of investment sales for Citizens investment services. Citizens Bank, a subsidiary of Providence-based Citizens Financial Group Inc., says Drago’s new responsibilities will include leading, growing and managing the company’s broker-dealer business.
“As we continue to grow our wealth management business and to help more Citizens Bank clients plan for retirement and other long-term financial objectives, we are pleased to appoint Frank as head of Citizens Investment Services,” said John Bahnken, head of Citizens wealth management division. “Frank is a proven leader with extensive experience. We welcome him in his new role and look forward to his leadership as we continue to grow this important business.”
Citizens investment services is a division of the bank’s wealth management department, providing investing services and solutions for clients and business owners. Drago joined the bank in 2013 from Citi Personal Wealth Management. He’s held positions at Smith Barney and Citicorp Investment Services.
