Dupuis Oil donates to MS Society chapter

PAWTUCKET – Dupuis Oil is donating $100 to the Rhode Island chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society whenever a society member opens an account with the company.
Dupuis Oil, which has been serving Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts for 115 years, is a full-service heating and air conditioning company.
The new customer also will receive a 10-cent-a-gallon discount, and for every gallon that customer buys, Dupuis will donate 10 cents to the Rhode Island chapter. If the new customer has service work performed, Dupuis Oil will donate 2 percent of the total cost of a paid service job to the chapter, also.
Marc Dupuis, one of the company’s owners, has been cycling in Bike MS: Ride the Rhode for seven years on the Wheels on My Heels team. Bike MS is the Society’s largest fundraiser in Rhode Island with participants cycling 150 miles over two summer days.
The partnership between the MS Society and the Pawtucket-based oil company, which began last year, is another way to support the work of an organization that is dedicated to Rhode Islanders with MS and to raising money for MS research and eventually a cure.
“We wanted to support the extraordinary work the Rhode Island Chapter does to help people who are living with multiple sclerosis and the challenges it brings,” Dupuis said.
Existing Dupuis Oil customers who are members of the National MS Society can also help the Rhode Island Chapter as Dupuis will donate 10 cents for every gallon that they buy. These customers will also receive 10 ten cents per gallon discount.
“This creative partnership will help us continue with our mission and we thank Marc and Dupuis Oil for their generosity,” said Chapter President Kathy Mechnig.
