Durfee students to take part in Credit for Life

FALL RIVER – The junior class at B.M.C. Durfee High School will participate in the school’s fourth annual Credit for Life Fair, intended to provide experiences in financial literacy.
The Credit for Life Fair, developed by Consumer Credit Counseling Service, is an interactive experience in the basics of budgeting and managing credit. The event will give students the opportunity to simulate the decision-making of a 25-year-old managing daily financial details.
The April 4 event begins at 8:30 a.m. in the school gymnasium at 360 Elsebree Street in Fall River, Mass.
Community volunteers are assisting with the event, with collaboration from BayCoast Bank, BankFive, Bristol County Savings Bank, Mechanics Cooperative Bank and St. Anne’s Credit Union.
