PROVIDENCE – Easy Mortgage Apps, a mobile-first, mortgage-lending platform, has opened an office in Providence, capping off a three-month growth spurt for the startup.
The company, a graduate of Betaspring’s RevUp program, is based in Boston, but recently opened its third office in the Founders League co-working space in downtown Providence. Easy Mortgage Apps recently hit 250,000 loans to pass through its platform, serving 5,000 loan officers in 47 states, according to a press release.
The mobile-based platform allows borrowers, loan officers and real estate agents to connect virtually during the lending process and streamlines what’s traditionally been an antiquated system.
“Until EMA, borrowers and loan officers had to use voicemail, email, and even fax machines to move a loan forward,” said Joe Spano, co-founder and chief technology officer, in a statement. “EMA’s solution bridges the gap between banks’ legacy systems and today’s borrowers, who expect the home loan experience to be mobile.”
Given the company’s growth, Spano said, East Mortgage Apps is hiring, adding that developers in the New England area could reach out to dev@emanow.com to learn more.
