Why did you select your profession?
I have always seen lawyering as a “helping profession.” … We help people who need assistance or who are facing challenges, and we make every effort to place them in a better position than they were before.

What advice would you give your 22-year-old self?
Have more fun! Don’t be afraid to live your life.

How do you keep a work-life balance?
By making both work and life priorities. Work is important and necessary, but it may not mean much without a rich personal life.

What one thing in your professional life would you like a do-over on?
I would have gone to law school at night, rather than full time, and worked a full-time job during the school year. It may have slowed my career track a bit, but it would have reduced my student-loan obligation! •
