Employee health breeds innovation

With more than 5,200 employees worldwide – 1,400 right here in Rhode Island – toymaker Hasbro Inc. has always placed a tremendous emphasis on taking special care of its team.

A few years ago, the company went a step further by taking an even more active approach to supporting employee health and wellness, unveiling a host of health initiatives and programming.

“We know that as we look to the future, creating a healthy environment that promotes healthy self, healthy teams [and a] healthy company will enable us to continue to attract and retain the best candidates and create the environment for peak performance,” said Dolph Johnson, Hasbro’s chief human resources officer.

Today, in addition to fitness challenges, biometrics screenings, meditation classes, nutrition workshops, wellness Lunch and Learns, fitness-center discounts and quarterly blood drives, the company offers the Hasbro Wellness Program. n
