Envision acquires Focus24 consultancy

PAWTUCKET – Envision Technology Advisors announced on Sept. 18 the strategic acquisition of Focus24, an IT consultancy previously headquartered in Cranston and specializing in enterprise data solutions.
“We’re partnered with Focus24 on a number of successful projects and we were impressed by the vast knowledgebase that they had,” said Todd Knapp, Envision’s founder and CEO, in a release. “It would be impractical for Envision to home-grow expertise in every new solution offered by our company. When we decided to add high-end data solutions to our suit of integrated services, we immediately looked to the experts at Focus24 and worked on putting this deal together.”
As part of this acquisition, all Focus24 employees, including President and co-founder Vin DiPippo, will join the Envision team. A 25-year veteran of the technology industry, DiPippo holds numerous certifications with a variety of vendors and is one of only a handful of certified SQL masters in the world.
Prior to Focus24, DiPippo worked with Response Technologies, where he served as the principal software engineer for a medical outcomes data collection, measurement and analysis system based on analysis algorithms developed at the New England Medical Center. Working with massive data sets and analysis algorithms and techniques in that role formed the early basis for much of the big data initiatives he worked on with Focus24 clients, and which he now brings to Envision.
“Over the past 18 years, our customers have come to know Focus24 as a uniquely talented group with deep skill sets and a consistent ability to deliver on projects that meet their most challenging technology problems,” said DiPippo in a prepared statement. “The combination of our two companies will allow each of us to address needs that we have seen in our customer base, but have traditionally been unable to service. Our customers will be delighted to see what we can accomplish together.”
Pawtucket-based Envision Technology Advisors offers technology consulting services to the New England region including desktop and data center virtualization, cloud services, enterprise data solutions, network consulting, website design and development and business strategy consulting.
Envision recently opened a new office in Waltham, Mass., and has hired six new employees in the past month alone.
Providence Business News has named Envision one of Rhode Island’s “Best Places to Work” for the last five years.
