Ethan Allen moves design center from Warwick to Garden City

CRANSTON – Ethan Allen has moved its Design Center from Warwick to Garden City Center in Cranston. The 6,000-square-foot retail center includes an open floor plan with design stations and six large touchscreens that allow customers to work directly on projects.
The Design Center, which opened April 7, represents a new direction for the 83-year-old brand, according to the company’s chief executive. “This is an Ethan Allen some people may not recognize,” said Chairman, President and CEO Farooq Kathwari, in a news release.
“The products are relaxed and relevant to today’s lifestyles, the technology on the floor is state-of-the-art, and the Design Center itself is located where our clients live and play.”
The Design Center at Garden City Center is located at 172 Hillside Road, Cranston. The store will replace the facility in Warwick, located on Bald Hill Road. Garden City Center now has 60 shops, restaurants and service businesses.
L.L. Bean will open a store at the center this summer.
