Ex-boxer ‘Vinny Paz’ a top tax delinquent

PROVIDENCE – More than $13 million is owed in back taxes by individuals in Rhode Island, and another $17 million by businesses, according to lists recently released by the state Division of Taxation.

The state agency listed the top 100 income tax delinquents and business tax delinquents.

The top five income tax delinquents are: William J. and Marielle T. Reilly of Boca Raton, Fla., $1,596,115.73; Ronald K. Dillard, of Seekonk, $586,727.59; FC Investors XIV LLC, of Kennett Square, Pa., $547,982.94; James H. Grover, of Boston, $444,863.93; and Jeffrey A. Anjoorian, of East Greenwich, $420,899.15

The most well-known person on the list is ex-boxer Vincent E. Pazienza, of Warwick, who owes $331,914.08. Also known as “Vinny Paz,” he’s No. 8 on the list.

Meanwhile, the boxing biopic about Pazienza, “Bleed for This,” starring Miles Teller as the “Pazmanian Devil” is set to hit theaters on Nov. 18.

On the business side, the top five tax scofflaws are: S&P Temporary Help Services Inc., of Lowell, Mass., $4,284,022.55; Frank J. Ogarek, dba Access O/F Group, East Providence, $1,148,372.36; R.I. Marble & Granite Inc., Providence, $1,028,778.24; United Convenience & Petroleum Inc., Providence, $683,591.17; and Edward S. Johnson, dba Johnson’s Boat Works, Cranston, $638,925.10. •
