Ferguson to speak at health insurance taskforce forum

PROVIDENCE – Christine Ferguson, the executive director of the R.I. Health Benefits Exchange, will be the featured speaker on Jan. 29 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at Temple Beth-El at the first forum of the 2013 discussion series sponsored by the Health Insurance Small Employer Taskforce.

The focus of the discussion will be how small businesses can gear up for the new exchange. Ferguson is scheduled to give a short presentation and then engage in a lengthy Q&A, according to organizers of the event.

The taskforce is coordinated by The Providence Plan, which serves as the rate review community partner for the R.I. Office of The Health Insurance Commissioner.
