Thursday’s film, “Finding Vivian Maier,” explores the works of a mysterious nanny who secretly took more than 100,000 photographs that went unseen during her lifetime. Revealing Maier's strange and riveting life and art, the film will disclose never-before-seen photographs, films and interviews with dozens who thought they knew her. Maier’s work, curated by amateur historian John Maloof, reveals prolific portraits from an intensely private and guarded artist who recorded some of the most interesting marvels and peculiarities of urban America in the second half of the twentieth century.
