The Rhode Island State House Centennial Reception on January 10th is the first in a series of events highlighting the historical role of John Fogarty in improving healthcare on a national and international level. Mr. Fogarty facilitated change in societal perspectives on disability and health, and the changing face of the disability movement and service options. State Historian Laureate, Patrick T. Conley, Ph.D., will make a brief presentation on mid-20th century healthcare legislation and the contributions of Congressman Fogarty.
The Centennial History Wall is a visual presentation highlighting mid-20th century health care and the work of Congressman John E. Fogarty. The Wall will travel throughout the state beginning with a presentation at the Rhode Island State House on January 10th. A list of travel locations and dates will be available on this website throughout 2013.
