Forbes: N.Y. Knicks NBA’s most valuable team

NEW YORK – The New York Knicks are the most valuable NBA franchise at $3 billion, according to Forbes.

Forbes, which ranked the most valuable basketball teams, placed the Boston Celtics fourth on the list at $2.1 billion. Second place went to the Los Angeles Lakers at $2.7 billion, and third, the Chicago Bulls at $2.3 billion. Fifth place was held by the Los Angeles Clippers at $2 billion.

The Knicks hold the third spot overall among sports teams in the United States, behind the Dallas Cowboys, with a value of $4 billion, and New England Patriots and New York Yankees (tied at $3.2 billion), Forbes said.
