Four physical therapists with Elite Physical Therapy receive board certification in orthopedics

WARWICK – Elite Physical Therapy announced that four of its doctors of physical therapy – Meghan Yole, Leanne Monteiro, Mark Mahnensmith and Sarah Johnson – recently received specialty board certification in orthopedics.

The American Physical Therapy Association, a national professional organization representing more than 80,000 of the nation’s 186,000 physical therapists, established the specialist certification program in 1978. Clinical specialization in physical therapy requires advanced clinical knowledge, skill, experience exceeding that of the typical physical therapist and is unique to the specialized area of practice, according to Elite Physical Therapy.
“We continue to work hard at being our best for our patients and our communities,” Elite Physical Therapy’s founder, Michael Nula, who holds a doctorate of physical therapy, said in a statement. “Having physical therapists [who] are board-certified specialists at each of our locations allows us to further help people in our surrounding communities improve their quality of life through the use of advanced, skilled, expert physical therapy. We love to see people do what they love doing as a result of our help.”
The company has locations in Warwick, Providence, East Greenwich, Coventry, Cranston, Lincoln and North Smithfield.
