Cost to franchise:

With leased equipment, the total investment ranges from $63,550 to $124,295.

Cost to open:

The initial investment generally ranges from $30,000 to $50,000.

Before opening franchise:

Chanoux, right, was an operations manager for UPS and Airborne Express Package and Delivery. Fraielli worked as a certified public accountant.

Reason for opening:

Fraielli, a friend of Chanoux, approached her one day and asked, “Do you want to open a business?”

“We did a lot of research and agreed that Minuteman Press would be the best fit for us. Every business needs or utilizes printing and marketing in some fashion, so we felt it was a secure customer base to expand upon,” said Chanoux.

“We’ll do stationary, promotional products, design and mailing services for businesses, but at the same time if you want to come in and have your wedding invitations printed, we will do that as well,” said Chanoux.

“When I sit across the table from a customer to talk about something they have in mind, and later when that plan comes to fruition and you see that glow on their face, that’s the most rewarding thing. They visualize something, and we make it come to life,” she said.

“When we can work with nonprofits, meet their budgets and … help them achieve their goals – that’s the most memorable for us,” Chanoux added. •
