PROVIDENCE – Diana Franchitto, president and CEO of Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island (HHCRI), was recently honored by the Rhode Island Region of the National Organization of Italian American Women as one of its 2015 Three Wise Women. The award is given annually to three of Rhode Island’s most accomplished women of Italian descent.
President and CEO of HHCRI since 2008, Franchitto has overseen a period of growth and expansion at the hospice organization, which was the second in the nation to be formed. HHCRI has affiliated with the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University under her leadership and has solidified its position as a leader in the field locally and nationally.
“On behalf of NOIAW’s entire board of directors, I am proud to recognize the tremendous achievements of our 2015 honorees who inspire all Itlian American women to pursue their passions and excel in all of their endeavors,” said Anne Marie D’Attelo, president of NOIAW’s Rhode Island chapter.
