Friday afternoon, the Newport Public Library will continue its presentation of films shot on location in Newport with a screening of “High Society.” The film, produced in 1956, features Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly and Frank Sinatra. It centers on the wedding of Tracy Lord to George Kittredge, which is disrupted when Tracy’s former husband, suave millionaire Dexter Haven, arrives to attend a jazz festival. The film is a musical remake of the comedy “The Philadelphia Story,” but set in Newport.
