PROVIDENCE – GTECH has entered into a multi-year licensing agreement with Genius Brands International’s subsidiary, A Squared Entertainment, for property licensing rights to the From Frank brand.
The agreement gives GTECH exclusive rights to license this brand for lottery purposes in North America, allowing GTECH to use From Frank logos and iconography on printed lottery games, e-instants and terminal-based and keno-style lottery games.
From Frank greeting cards and other gift products feature the French bulldog, Frank, and his neighborhood friends alongside humorous and quirky text. The cards and gift products are available at retail stores across the nation.
“GTECH is looking forward to offering lotteries humorous, animal themed instant tickets featuring From Frank imagery and content. We are confident the From Frank brand will add value and appeal to this category for lotteries,” GTECH Senior Director, Brand Licensing & Marketing Pat Schmidt said in a statement. “GTECH introduced the From Frank line of instant tickets at NASPL 2014 and the response was tremendous. Lotteries are excited about the brand and believe it will translate well into successful lottery games that will appeal to core and light players alike.”

“Partnering with GTECH, a leader in the lottery industry, is testament to the growing popularity of the brand, and we look forward to working with them to deliver a program that speaks to the core of From Frank – having fun!,” GBI Global Consumer Products President Stone Newman said in a press release.
