PROVIDENCE – Gasoline prices in Rhode Island fell 2 cents this week, and dropped 6 cents in Massachusetts, AAA Northeast said.
In the Ocean State, self-serve, regular unleaded is averaging $2.30 per gallon, 4 cents lower than the national average of $2.34. A year ago at this time, the average price in Rhode Island was 51 cents higher.
Prices range from $2.18 to $2.39, with midgrade unleaded at $2.52; premium unleaded at $2.67; and diesel at $2.41.
In the Bay State, self-serve, regular unleaded is averaging $2.25 per gallon. The Massachusetts price is 9 cents below the national average. A year ago at this time, the average price in Massachusetts was 52 cents higher.
Prices in Massachusetts range from $2.10 to $2.49, with midgrade unleaded at $2.48; premium unleaded at $2.65; and diesel, $2.37.
