Gas prices stay the same in R.I., rise in Mass.

PROVIDENCE – Gasoline prices remained the same this week in Rhode Island, but rose 2 cents in Massachusetts, AAA Northeast said Monday.
AAA’s June 13th survey of prices in Rhode Island said self-serve, regular unleaded gasoline is averaging $2.32 per gallon, 7 cents lower than the national average of $2.39. A year ago at this time, the average Rhode Island price was 47 cents higher at $2.79.

Prices range from $2.22 to $2.55, with midgrade unleaded at $2.55; premium unleaded at $2.74; and diesel, $2.38.
In Massachusetts, self-serve, regular unleaded gas prices are averaging $2.31 per gallon – 8 cents below the national average. A year ago, the average price in Massachusetts was 42 cents higher at $2.73.
Prices for different grades of gasoline in the Bay State are as follows: midgrade unleaded, $2.54; premium unleaded, $2.69; and diesel, $2.38.
