Geek Dinner to feature HealthID

PROVIDENCE – HealthID Profile Inc. co-founders Angelo A. Pitassi Jr. and Christopher Melo will tell the story of their inspiration and demo their product at the May Geek Dinner from Providence Geeks.
Providence Geeks is a monthly meetup of Rhode Island’s info-tech and digital media professionals and enthusiasts.
A Betaspring startup accelerator alum, Health ID Profile Inc. is a company that makes tech-savvy and fashionable medical identification bracelets.
“When his 2-year-old son was diagnosed with diabetes, former jewelry industry executive Angelo Pitassi Jr. started learning about medical alert bracelets. He was unimpressed to say the least. In short order, Angelo partnered with technologist Christopher Melo, and HealthID was born,” said the Geek Dinner announcement.
At the meetup, which will take place Wednesday, May 15 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the AS220 in Providence, the Crunchbutton founders will tell the HealthID story, demonstrate their “HIP” bracelets and give a sneak peek into their company’s future.
