PROVIDENCE – Training Magazine, a professional and workforce development publication, has ranked Gilbane Building Co.’s new sales model one of the most “innovative and successful” among firms in its “Top 125 Organizations” list.

Gilbane’s new system earned it the No. 27 rank on the list, above the giants such as the U.S. Navy and Bank of America Corp.
“We make an investment here at Gilbane in developing the best people,” Bill Gilbane Jr., president and chief operating officer, said in prepared remarks. “We pride ourselves on being able to build the best teams for the job at hand. Giving our employees the opportunity to expand their career, learn more about the markets we serve, and become more well-rounded professionals helps us achieve our ultimate goal of client satisfaction.”
Gilbane was the sole Rhode Island-based business to make the “Top 125” list, and one among five firms to receive the “Best Practice and Outstanding Training Initiative” award, which included the U.S. Navy, BB&T Corp., New York-Presbyterian Hospital and PNC Financial Services Group Inc. Over 250 entrants were considered.
Gilbane’s global headquarters, in downtown Providence, serves as the nerve center to more than 60 worldwide offices.
