CRANSTON – GoGo Cast Inc., provider of digital signage and branded content in public spaces, has acquired the assets of Dingo Mobile Inc., a Canadian developer of social media-based applications for marketing purposes. Financial terms of the deal were not released.

“This acquisition brings a tremendous opportunity for brands and vendors to extend reach beyond the traditional social media engagement,” said David Paolo, president and CEO of GoGo Cast.

GoGo Cast’s original product lineup included retail establishment-based digital marketing displays.

In March the company launched GoGo Mobile (developed by Dingo Mobile), a hyperlocal-advertising product for smartphones that allows consumers to set alerts on their favorite products so they are notified when deals become available in their area.

At the time of the launch, Paolo said the new product allowed GoGo Cast to become “the solution of choice for retail chains and brands to reach ‘on-the-go’ qualified buyers.”

In an interview late last week with Providence Business News, Paolo said that in the “short term,” he expected GoGo Cast to add 20 to 25 jobs at the company’s Cranston headquarters, and within 12 months, he had a goal of about 50 new workers, as the company integrated Dingo’s operations – which will be known as Dingo Mobile USA – in the existing structure in Rhode Island.

  1. Nice to see a local company expand (within their means) and enhance their product offering without begging the state for tax incentives or grants or threatening to take thier “new jobs” elsewhere.
