Gray stepping down as RIBGH director

PROVIDENCE – Herb Gray is stepping down in mid-September from his post as executive director of the Rhode Island Business Group on Health. A search is now underway for a new executive director.
The opening, described as a part-time consultant’s position working 20 hours a week, comes at “a critical time in health care reform,” according to the job posting. The deadline for applications is Sept. 15.
On Sept. 20 the group will hold its annual Health Care Summit at the Providence Marriott Downtown.
The focus of the event will be HealthSourceRI’s new marketplace for health-insurance plans, scheduled to open Oct. 1.
Among the presenters will be Sam Slade, vice president at USI Insurance Services, HealthSourceRI Executive Director Christine Ferguson and Dr. Kathleen Hittner, Rhode Island health insurance commissioner. •
