We liked it so much the first time that we couldn’t wait to undertake the Fastest-Growing & Innovative Companies program this year. And based on what we found, some really interesting stuff is bubbling to the surface in our corner of the world.
First off, two of our category-leading Fastest-Growing Companies also made Inc. magazine’s national list of the 100 fastest-growing private companies – Alex and Ani, which led our $75 million-and-greater revenue category, ended up as No. 94 on the Inc. list, while Yagoozon, our leader in the $5 million to $25 million category, made it to No. 10 on Inc.’s list. That’s world-class growth.
Of course, these two companies aren’t the only ones with inspiring growth stories to tell, as the 20 honorees in the section make clear. Start reading on Page 4 and you’ll learn for yourself.
But the second half of the section is just an interesting, where the 10-most-innovative companies in a number of industry categories get to tell their stories. From helping teachers surmount the challenges they face every day to exploring how to make vaccines against the world’s latest disease threats to jump-starting a campaign that helps the Ocean State’s toughest audience – itself – believe that great things are happening here, and more, the innovative companies that are featured starting on Page 22 are concrete proof that we live in a place where smart, motivated and interesting people are doing what they can to change the world.
Returning this year as presenting sponsor for the Fastest-Growing & Innovative Companies program is CBIZ Tofias. Partner sponsors are Bryant University’s Executive Development Center and Graduate School of Business, Edwards Wildman, Gencorp Insurance Group and The Business Development Company. Media sponsor is AM790.
Estate and Corporate Income Taxes are changing next year, and business owners and executives should know the details. The PBN Summit on November 6th will provide those details and more - including how much Obamacare's Employer Mandate could cost.
PBN's annual Book of Lists has been an essential resource for the local business community for almost 30 years. The Book of Lists features a wealth of company rankings from a variety of fields and industries, including banking, health care, real estate, law, hospitality, education, not-for-profits, technology and many more.
