PROVIDENCE – GreenBytes Inc., a developer of virtual desktop and cloud-scale IO-offload and data deduplication solutions, chose Chris Brandon as its new vice president of solutions architecture and technical services, the company announced.

"Chris Brandon comes to GreenBytes with a strong background and track record of success in both the VDI and data storage markets,” GreenBytes Senior Vice President of Global Sales Brett Johnson said in a statement. “His expertise and experience will help propel the company forward, and our technical field team will benefit greatly under Chris's leadership as GreenBytes continues to gain market share in the desktop virtualization arena."

Brandon comes from Xsigo Systems where he was technical director for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He has 18 years of experience in the storage, network and data center industries. He has been the lead architect on “some of the largest VDI deployments in EMEA,” according to a press release.

In his position, Brandon will oversee solutions architecture and technical services for the company’s storage optimization solutions for desktop virtualization.

“GreenBytes has been driving innovation in the VDI space, and I look forward to joining the outstanding management team to help drive business growth and enable the widespread deployment of desktop virtualization,” Brandon said.
