GreenBytes products achieve ‘VMware Ready’ status

PROVIDENCE – Desktop-virtualization company GreenBytes Inc. announced last week that its IO Offload Engine and vIO virtual storage appliance have achieved VMware Ready status, indicating that these technologies met specific VMware integration and interoperability standards and will be featured on the VMware Solution Exchange website.
The VMware Ready program is an initiative of the VMware Technology Alliance Partner program that helps customers identify partner products certified to work with VMware cloud infrastructure.
“By using GreenBytes’ IO Offload Engine and vIO virtual storage appliance with vSphere 5.5, enterprises can achieve a highly performant virtual-desktop infrastructure without complicated workarounds,” said Michael Richtberg, vice president of product management at GreenBytes. “Additionally, with GreenBytes’ updated VMware vSphere v5.5 Storage Replication Adapter certification, users can leverage our unique deduplication capabilities, making data replication from site to site extremely efficient.”
The vIO device features GreenBytes’ patented zero-latency inline deduplication technology, which removes redundant data to reduce desktop-virtualization storage needs by up to 98 percent, according to GreenBytes.
GreenBytes’ IO Offload Engine appliance and vIO virtual storage appliance can be found within the VMware Solution Exchange by visiting the IO Offload Engine and vIO product pages.
