HUBZone workship planned for March 5

PROVIDENCE – The workshop “Intro to the HUBZone Program” that is designed to assist small businesses located in designated economically depressed areas and communities with high unemployment rates in getting assistance with contracts will be held Wednesday, March 5.
The HUBZone program is designed to promote job growth and economic development in financially stressed communities. More than 50 HUBZones are located in Rhode Island, with four of those in Central Falls.
The free workshop is sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the city of Central Falls and Navigant Credit Union. It will be held at the Navigant Credit Union branch at 693 Broad Street in Central Falls from 9 to 11 a.m. Registration is by email at providence.ri@sba.gov or by calling 401-528-4561.
