WARWICK – White Plains, N.Y.-based Handy & Harman Ltd.’s subsidiary Lucas-Milhaupt Inc. has acquired the assets of Wolverine Joining Technologies, the companies announced Monday.

Wolverine Joining Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wolverine Tube Inc., manufactures a variety of silver and copper-based brazing and soldering filler materials and fluxes for the appliance, construction and metal-working industries at its Warwick-based facility.

According to a company release, Wolvering is also a supplier to original equipment manufacturers and distributors in the HVAC and plumbing markets.

“We are pleased with this acquisition, as Wolverine Joining Technologies has more than 60 years of market experience, pioneering several new technologies for the industry,” Phil Malliet, president and CEO of Lucas-Milhaupt, said in prepared remarks.

“We believe the addition of their alloy-making expertise and in-house process design capabilities fit well into the Lucas-Milhaupt family of companies, and provide significant opportunities for technology advancement and growth,” he added.

The Warwick-based company will operate as Lucas-Milhaupt Warwick LLC. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
