Hasbro nurse receives national honor

PROVIDENCE – A pediatric surgical nurse at Hasbro Children’s Hospital was recently recognized by the American Pediatric Surgical Nurses Association with a 2015 Founders Award.

Neil Ead, who received the award, is also a senior teaching associate in surgery at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

“Neil is an integral part of our patient care, research and education, and his service has been exemplary,” said Dr. Thomas Tracy Jr., pediatric surgeon-in-chief of Hasbro Children’s Hospital. “He is known regionally and nationally for his mentorship to many graduate training programs and clinical programs, and he has been a consummate advocate for graduate nursing – giving tirelessly to the teaching mission.”
