Hasbro sells facilities to Cartamundi Group

PAWTUCKET – Hasbro Inc. said it has completed the sale of its manufacturing locations in East Longmeadow, Mass., and Waterford, Ireland, to the Cartamundi Group, according to a news release.

Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

“I want to thank our employees who have transitioned to Cartamundi,” Duncan Billing, executive vice president, chief global operations and business-development officer for Hasbro Inc., said in a statement. “We look forward to continuing to work with Cartamundi and this talented workforce … as we continue to manufacture Hasbro’s ever-popular board games at both these sites.”

In July, the company signed a letter of intent to sell the two manufacturing plants to the Cartamundi Group in Belgium. •
