Keno Mullings and his wife, Jasmine, are helping everyone and anyone to become an entrepreneur.

The couple moved to Rhode Island two years ago and last summer launched The Mullings Group.

On the services side, the company provides everything from creating websites to marketing and advertising. The company also provides in-house software development, and it hires outside consultants when needed.

On the training side, the Mullings provide consulting and have put together a training camp called Bootstrap Bootcamp Entrepreneurship Training, which includes coaching and consulting. Mullings said they have both an online and offline following and roughly 6,000 people signed up for the online course. The second course begins on Jan. 4.

Mullings believes entrepreneurship can help lift people out of poverty and reduce the joblessness rate.

“Rhode Island has a lot of challenges, but with those challenges it has a lot of opportunity,” Mullings said. •
